write_arf

sherpa.astro.io.write_arf(filename: str, dataset: DataARF, ascii: bool = True, clobber: bool = False) → None[source] [edit on github]

Write out an ARF.

This does not handle Type II files.

Added in version 4.16.0.

Parameters:

filename (str) – The name of the file.
dataset – The data to write out.
ascii (bool, optional) – If True use an ASCII format, otherwise a binary format.
clobber (bool, optional) – If True then the output file will be over-written if it already exists, otherwise an error is raised.
